Steal My Hair Wash Routine

I'll be honest, not every washday looks like this for me.

However, if I've been particularly busy and have neglected my hair a little bit I will go full out and follow this routine.

So let's start with a tip so you can go the distance: have a power meal!

Now steal my hair wash routine:

Step 1: Pre-cleansing treatment

Adding a pre-cleansing treatment to your hair will soften and condition your hair while adding extra moisture, shine, and softness.

Step 2: Cleanser

No washday is complete without cleansing, washing your hair will remove built up product, dirt, and sebum.

Step 3: Conditioner

It's a necessity to condition your hair after every cleanse. Shampoos remove everything from the hair, including moisture, therefore it's important to condition your hair to add this back in.

Step 4: Tea rinse

Tea contains caffeine which is extremely beneficial. Caffeine reduces hair breakage, encourages growth, and reduces shedding.

Step 5: Leave-In conditioner

Adding a leave-in conditioner to your routine will help you to add moisture, help to eliminate frizz, improve your curl definition, & rejuvenate your hair!!

Step 6: Hair and scalp oil

Use a light oil to remoisturise your scalp and help seal in the moisture of your leave in conditioner.

Step 7: Mango butter

Mango butter is the final step that brings it all together. It encourages growth while keeping hair healthy, locking in moisture and controlling frizz.

Step 8: Protective style

My go to style is twists. They're easy to do and they make it easy to re-moisturise my hair and oil my scalp. Plus I can wear a banging twist out for a couple of days before washing again. I protect my style each night by wearing my satin sleep bonnet.

AND REST!!!

Can you see why I suggested having a power meal? It can feel like a lot to begin with, but don't let that deter you! Focus on your main goal of healthy hair and soon you'll have a healthy wash routine for your healthy hair journey!

Will you be adopting any of these steps? Or maybe you already do some? I'd love for you to share in the comments.
